Built in 1936 by Canadian Car & Foundry for the Canadian National Railroad as a Railway Post Office/Baggage Car. Retired by CN in 2000, the current owner has converted the car into a party/storage car. The interior and exterior have been repainted, the former RPO section is now a heated tool/crew area with a work bench, recalculating toilet and plenty of storage. The former baggage area is now a heated open multi-function area with refinished wood floors, side door for sight seeing or loading. The baggage area is ideal for a dance floor, buffet serving area, special events area for Santa Trains and more. Some of the car's mechanical details include: Two oil fired stoves for heating, 300 gal heating oil tank, 220v/110v electrical system, ample under car storage lockers, E couplers, roller bearings (grease), cast shoes, ISSH, solid casting trucks w/truck mounted cylinders, UC valves, drop equalizers, needs COT&S but seller has recertified valves for the car.
