Thomas Edison and built by Pullman for the Delaware Lackawanna & Western
Railroad as a commuter car. Originally operated in commuter service out of
Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey. Retired by New Jersey Transit in the 1980's.
Great high capacity open window car ideal for operation on a tourist railroad.
Some of the mechanical details include: Friction bearings, UC valves, walk over
seats, restroom, open windows, seating for 70+ passengers, good body, E
couplers, bolted pedestal trucks, ISSH. Car can not be shipped on it's own
wheels since it is equipped with friction bearings. Work can be performed on the
car at it's current location to convert to roller bearings or to load on a
flatcar.
