Built in July of 1950 by EMD as an E-8 for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad as #5022 B, operated on the famed "400" trains, retired by METRA in 1991 and is in operating condition. Some of the mechanical details include: 567-BC block prime movers and were rebuilt in 1980 and have seen minimal service, 24 brake, body in excellent condition, good paint, tight air system, great wheels w/good profiles, D-12 generators, HEP power plant (not known if in operating condition).
