The above photo is the original builders photo.
Built in 1948 by the Pullman Co. for the Milwaukee Road as a
10 roomette/6 double bedroom sleeper for use on the Olympian
Hiawatha and Pioneer Limited. Sold to Canadian National
Railroad in 1967 and eventually sold to VIA Rail, who
renamed the car to Vermillion River and it was eventually
retired and sold it into private ownership. Some of the cars
mechanical details include: H couplers, Nystrom trucks, drop
equalizers, 6.5 x 12 bearings, tread brakes w/cast shoes,
good wheels, last COT&S 5/5/04, J-16 relay valve, D-22
control valves. Owner has 95% of the interior hardware.
Although it is included with the purchase of the car the
Buyer will need to make additional arrangements with the
seller to have the hardware transported to the car. Seller
also has some new sheet metal that is included and has been
cut to replace rusted end sheets, etc. in the vestibule
