Built in 1937 by Budd for the Santa Fe Railroad for use on their train "The Scout". Sold to New Jersey Transit and used in NY commuter service. Some of the mechanical features include, Timken roller bearings, 2 inch plus wheels, UC valves, tread brakes, H tightlock couplers, 1980s Carrier AC unit and 32 volt Axel gen DC electrical system. This car was restored with new plywood floor, windows, and good interior.
